Fast and clean

Till the end of the current year the company will obtain the first samples of new high-performing track load-transfer machine.

Yaroslavl car-repair plant (part of Remputmash group) will send conceptually new equipment, designed on Russian Railways OJSC request, for certification in the near future — Train Set of Cars for Contaminants «СЗ-800».

As Mikhail Ruzhyev, chief engineer of the plant, told the Gudok, the device is created for use at current maintenance and reparation of the railway in tractive connection with ballast cleaning machines and structures, cleaning machine, machines for ditch cleaning and rifling. It is designed for mechanical accumulation and transportation of used discrete material.

According to him, the development of new equipment was carried out quickly. «According to the results of the meeting, which took place in Remputmash concern at the end of the previous year, the president of Russian Railways OJSC set a target— to develop and promptly incorporate into manufacturing process the samples of new maintenance vehicles.

During a couple of months the construction documentation was prepared by a company’s planning and design office of track facilities.

Our plant is preparing now for batch production of equipment, for this purpose modernization of welding engineering technology was conducted,» Mikhail Ruzhyev added.

He clarified, that the new machinery advantageously differs from previously manufactured versions in its holding capacity, carrying capacity, functional and technical performance indicators.

For instance, its productivity reaches 900 m3 per hour, and bearing capacity — 1030 tons.

As Roman Koshelev, chief specialist of Track and Facilities mechanization Department, mentioned, «modern technology for the deep reclaiming of ballast at Russian Railways OJSC network must have high productivity rate.

Thus, for instance, ЩОМ-1200 and RM-2002 ballast cleaning machines can process up to 1000 m3 of ballast per hour, while the technology of earlier modifications, for example, RM-80 and ЩОМ-6 П, could process up to 400-500m3.

Therefore, to remove fouled ballast, machines with improved technical characteristics are needed».

According to his words, the train СЗ-800 exceeds almost twofold in its characteristics the existing version СЗ-240-6 and complies with all the requirements of Russian Railways OJSC.

It is expected that certification and beginning of batch production of track transport vehicle C3-800 will start this summer, and till the end of 2010 the company has to obtain the first samples of these machinery for operation.
