Remputmash goes to Africa

Enterprise has started implementation of international contract Russian Railways OJSC is starting the implementation of a large-scale project in Libya. In the near future Remputmash OJSC is planning to supply the first lot of machinery to this country.

Procurement of maintenance vehicles will be carried out as part of a vast-scale project on constructing a 554 km railroad section between the cities of Sirt and Bengazi in Libya.

As Semyon Mlodik, Director General of Remputmash OJSC, told the Gudok, the contract on supplying maintenance vehicles was drawn last year in December; according to the contract, Remputmash OJSC and Kalugaputmash OJSC till the end of 2010 already several lots of maintenance vehicles amounting to 6 billion rubles will be supplied to Libya.

«The quantity and stock list of maintenance vehicles, which are supplied to Libya, allows conducting the whole set of operations: from preparation and construction to the current railway maintenance. This is modern technology, designed in accordance with the highest international standards,» Semyon Mlodik remarked.

According to his words, during the first quarter period, maintenance vehicles amounting to 1.4 billion rubles will be supplied for the construction of Sirt-Bengazi section.
