УТМ-3
«УТМ-3» is a shunting clean-up locomotive with capacity of 1800 kW, with electrical transmission of alternating-direct current, with four-axle locomotive under-frame, with design travelling speed of 100 km/hour; it is intended for execution of all kinds of train, shunting and clean-up operations on main, station and technologic tracks of Railways of the Russian Federation, in all climatic zones. Application of «УТМ-3» for shunting and clean-up operations while transporting train sets of cars with service trains, hopper-batchers, and with contaminants in the course of operation with ballast- and ditch-cleaning complexes will allow freeing diesel-powered locomotives for execution of freight train transportations.
