The enterprise is established on August 10, 1944.
From first day the plant is closely connected to the track facilities.
Now Kaluga plant «REMPUTMASH» is engaged in the manufacturing and modernization of the high-efficiency track machines providing the modern alternative technologies of major overhaul and the current maintenance of the railway way, the manufacture of all kinds of repair of operational park of track machines with giving them a new functionalities and the increase of reliability, productivity, prolongation of service life, manufacturing and repair of units and units to track technical equipment, the manufacturing and major overhaul of car retarders, the manufacturing of the track hydraulic tool.
The international exhibitions Track machines organized by the Open Joint Stock Company Russian Railway are annually performed on the basis of Kaluga plant «REMPUTMASH». Since 2008 the exhibition for the first time became infrastructural, wherel now all special transport is presented for the service of tracks - from the machines of service of track facilities up to the power complexes and technologies.
More than 130 companies form Russia, the Baltics and CIS take part in the exhibition specializing on the manufacture and service of technical equipment, providing the life activity of the railways, representing the samples of the advanced track technical equipment developed by leading world manufacturers.
The plant is the managing company of the RPM Group.
