The Plant was founded on July 26, 1967.
The enterprise manufactures products for JSC Russian Railways and conducts repairs of railway equipment.
It specializes in the production of hopper-dosers VPM-770 and regularly expands the model range of the railway wagons. The production of hopper cars for cement transportation has been started. It is planned to produce gondola cars and other wagon types. The production capacity of the plant allows manufacture 170 railway wagons a month or 8 railway wagons a day.
At the same time Lyudinovsky Machine Plant manufactures hatches for gondola cars, a wide range of wagon retarders – KZ-5, KZ-3, RNZ-2M, KNP-5, KNP-3, T-50, wheel sets (ÐÓ1Ø) RU1Sh, car trucks model 18-100, cars TGM-6, terminals and rail attaching clamps ZhBR 65.
All types of wagon retarders are overhauled. The overhaul of ballast cleaning machines ShhOM-6B (ÙÎÌ-6Á), snow removers SM-2, three rotor electric snow removers ESO-3, railway cranes EDK-300/5, reequipped carriages for accompaniment of railway machinery was developed.
Every year Lyudinovsky Machine Plant takes part in the International Exhibitions “Track machines” and was repeatedly awarded with the diplomas for the best exhibit. The plant was repeatedly the winner of the Kaluzhsky Regional Competition "100+1" for the best goods of the year.
Special attention is paid to quality at the enterprise. Since 2004 the Quality Management System has been implemented at the enterprise. The International Quality Certificate DIN EN ISO 9001: 2000 has been obtained. (VSB CERT Hamburg, Germany). The products of the plant have been certified for conformity by the certificate register at the Federal Railway Transport.
