The enterprise's activity is in two main directions:Abrasive and mechanical assembly production.
The main product of abrasive production is abrasive grinding-wheels on Bakelite adhesive of type 35 250õ75õ150 ZK ÂÒ9 BU50 B2.New types of peeling abrasive grinding-wheels for switches 35 180õ105õ90 and 260õ27õ200 have been developed by designers at the enterprise and are used by rail grinding and rail welding trains for grinding steel rails of the upper structure of railway track.
The main consumer of the given product is OJSC “RZD” in the form of structural subdivisions of railways, operating the rail grinding trains.
On the basis of OJSC “Experimental Plant “Metallist-Remputmash” a joint production unit is formed with the French company “Societe des Anciens Etablissements Lucien “Geismar”, which shall be engaged in the production of track and small-scale mechanization.At present works on mastering experimental details and assembly units, required for manufacture of product jointly with “Geismar”, are being conducted.These are component parts for track net fasteners, track rail-grinding lathes, accelerators etc.
OJSC “Experimental Plant “Metallist Remputmash” carries out mechanical assembly production, where overhaul repairs and medium repairs of railway equipment, such as VPR-02, UNIMAT, MPT-4, DGk-Y4, SZ-240, PRL, SDPM and even retarder KZ-ZPK are made.
The works on creation of a service centre on current maintenance, repair and upkeep of railway equipment are under way.
